- EPA Launches New Tribal Portal Website: The Environmental Protection Agency has
launched the first-of-its-kind portal website to help the tribal community, its supporters and the public find tribal environmental information and data through a single web-based access point.

- Hohokam Canals Found at ASU Construction Site: When Arizona State University students move into a new residence hall and honors college in fall 2009, they will be living and learning among historical findings. Two canals from the Hohokam time period have been unearthed at Apache Boulevard and Rural Road - the future home of ASU's Barrett Honors College. The college is currently housed at Apache Boulevard and College Avenue.

- Employment Opportunity, Arizona Field Archaeologists: Logan Simpson Design Inc. is seeking to fill multiple, full-time, archaeologist positions to conduct cultural resources surveys and excavations. The surveys are located throughout remote regions of Arizona. Lodging and per diem are paid for out of town projects. Individuals must be familiar with completion of site forms, use of GPS, and capable of surveying in remote locations and over steep terrain for extended periods of time. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and have completed a minimum of a B.A. in Anthropology, an archaeological field school, and have experience conducting fieldwork in the Southwest.
